Become a Friend
The Friends of St Meilyr was established in May 2025 and is set up as a sub-committee of the Parochial Church Council and controlled by its officers.
Its aim is to preserve and promote the cultural heritage and the fabric of the parish Church of St Meilyr in Llys-y-Frân. The Friends has a major role in promoting the history of the church and it also holds a number of events throughout the year to raise extra funds to help maintain the fabric of the building and the preservation of the 1682 small bell. Friends of St Meilyr is being widely supported within the village of Llys-y-Frân who want it to continue to play an active role in community life.
To be a Friend of St Meilyr’s Church you do not need to be a church goer. By becoming a Friend you will help to ensure the future of this medieval and historic building.
The costs of fabric repair to the church is increasing every year so we appreciate every bit of help.
